Mother of goodness!
actually i do find that..... well, changelings actually possess features that allow them to keep onies alive rather than jsut drain them dry. they can hypnotize them at large, making them more malleable and easier to control. in fact keeping them alive would be a full on benefit for the changelings. like how aphids are kept by ants, chagnelings keeping and caring for abducted populations of ponies would allow them to sustain themselves with less ponies and less risks. like keeping a herd of milk cows. less compassion and more forsight.
with chryalis's swarm such waste makes sense, but what of the other swarms? the necropolis and similar hives have a major issue as they rely on tactics of living very close to pony populations. if too many ponie disappear, then they will be revealed.............. some reason i alwys personally viewed that if other chagnelign queens existed, they would utterly despise chrysalis because he actions would make their lives all the more difficult to sustain. suddenly it would be hard to trick or capture ponies when they are aware of shape changing demons that hunt them in the night.
To each their own opinion, but the way I see it.
She might be upset with herself for what happened, but loosing her sister for 1000 years would still be worse. She would have the love of those close to her to keep her alive. The ponies might panic at the drop of a hat but they recover just as fast once they know they aren't in danger anymore. It shouldn't take long for them to accept her new form.
As for the changelings... hard to say without knowing more. but I could see the next generation being treated as if they had done no wrong, since they haden't.
Well, you know what they say about rule 43 of the internet. "The more beautiful and pure a thing is..."
"The more beautiful and pure a thing is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it." A rule which I outright despise, and wish wasn't a rule.
It fits into people's bastardization of Celestia into a tyrant, troll, or molester. And, well, your first reply, I guess.
