"Cream the Buneary has always aspired to be an explorer ever since her mother, Mimi, got lost in the Treeshroud Forest looking for food and never returned. She joined the Gardevoir guild in hopes to one day become a good enough explorer to find and save her mother. She wears a white ribbon with pink and blue polka dots on her head. She was named after an incident at a local coffee shop where, as a baby, she jumped onto the counter and spilled all of the coffee creamer all over the cashier, and thus named, "Cream."
Arth the Eevee lived with his mother, Emerald, his entire life, after his father abandoned them during her pregnancy. He was named after his great-great-great grandfather on his mother's side, who was in a class of noble warriors. Recently, his mother got cripplingly ill from a disease and sadly passed away from it. Without a source of food or money, he felt at the time, in a lapse of judgement, that he had no choice but to start stealing food and money to live. This labeled him as an outlaw, and eventually his wanted poster was spread to many guilds.
Cream became an experienced enough explorer to take on outlaws, so she and her partners, Jasper the Sentret and Aura the Riolu, decided to take up his outlaw poster. They traveled to his location (the Apple Woods) to take him down. Arth never thought he was very powerful, but he fought anyway. To his surprise, he was able to defeat Jasper and Aura, leaving just Cream. Cream, however saw tears in his eyes and a looming look of despair, and decided to take a huge chance. She stopped fighting and asked him what was wrong, and thus, he explained his story. By the time he was finished, he was crying his eyes out.
Cream had always been one to have a big heart, and that was known even throughout the guild, so she took pity on him and teleported him and her teammates back to the guild. She told the guildmaster of his story, and judged him worthy of a second chance, clearing his name of his outlaw status with the police. She even allowed him an apprenticeship at the guild, where his and Cream's love for each other blossomed. In the meantime, with the money he earned from the guild, he had a scarf made for him, with brown, tan and green to represent his mother, and red and yellow to represent his father, who he was desperate to find and finally meet."
