my little self-insert

so although brushpen bristle more or less carries my appearance, i wanted to create a different pony that i could use for author commentaries etc., a self-insert, a "ponysona".
then i thought i could maybe give him a little personality beyond that, and a bit of story, so i chose to make him the mysterious rival of brushpen that always turns up at the most random moments and tries to trump him in his artistic abilities. basically the trixie shtick. his cutie mark is a noose with a pencil in it and his lame pun gives an explanation to that. also, the word "carnifex" is the latin word for "executioner". see the connection?
and thus we get this.
