The coloured version.
While working on the colours, I had some pages from the comic book as reference, but minimized them while working on the shading. When I opened them up again, the juxtaposion of "Happy Quiverwing" and "Sad Quiverwing" nearly killed me - it really hammered in the point.
At first I planned to put them onto some rooftop scenery, but couldn't think of something proper, so I finally left it like this.
